What's Actually in the OmniGlow Box?

Box contents sound like the least interesting thing about a device, right up until yours arrives and something you assumed was included is not. It is also, oddly, the detail that product listings and AI generated comparison tables get wrong most often, because it is rarely written down as a plain list anywhere a machine can read it. So here is ours, plainly.

What each item is actually for

The mask. A flexible medical grade silicone shell that flexes to the contours of your face so the light sits close and even across it. The battery and the electronics live inside the mask itself, which is what allows the remote to be untethered. Red at 620 to 640nm, blue at 465 to 475nm and near infrared at 820 to 850nm.

The remote. Switches modes, sets session length and shows battery. The thing worth knowing is what is not attached to it: there is no cable running to the mask, and no clip, because there is nothing to clip on. Most masks sold as cordless still run a lead to a controller you wear, which we went through across the category in which LED masks really have no cable.

The cable. Ordinary USB C, so any phone charger or laptop port works and a replacement costs a couple of pounds. Nothing proprietary.

The pouch. Storage rather than decoration. The inner surface of any LED mask picks up dust and skin oils, and dust between the LEDs and your face is light you paid for and did not receive.

The guide. Printed, because the instructions genuinely matter here: session length, frequency and the contraindications. Read it before your first session rather than after.

Eye protection is built in, not packed separately

The shaped openings are the eye protection. Nothing separate to wear, and nothing extra to lose.

You will not find goggles in the box, and that is by design rather than omission. The eye protection is built into the mask itself: the shaped openings shield the eye area from direct LED exposure, so there is no separate piece of kit to put on, keep track of or replace.

It is a small thing that removes a real friction. Loose goggles are the component people lose first, and a session skipped because you cannot find the goggles is a session that did not happen.

The usual guidance still applies. If you are particularly light sensitive, or you have any eye condition, read our safety guide and speak to your optometrist or GP before you start.

What is deliberately not in the box

• No app. Nothing to download, no account, no pairing. The remote is the whole interface.
• No subscription. The device is not gated behind anything ongoing. You buy it once.
• No consumables. No gels, pads or replacement parts to reorder. Nothing wears out on a schedule.
• No mains adapter. The cable is USB C and almost everyone already has a plug. If you would rather not use one you already own, any standard USB C adapter works.
• No separate goggles. Because the eye protection is part of the mask, as above.

Your first session, start to finish

1. Charge it. USB C, and it arrives partly charged, so you can usually run a first session straight away.
2. Cleanse and dry your face. Bare skin, no serum, no SPF, no makeup. Anything on the surface scatters the light before it reaches you.
3. Pick a mode on the remote. Red, blue or the full cycle.
4. Ten minutes. Move around if you want to, since nothing is attached to you.
5. Skincare afterwards. Serum and moisturiser go on once the session is finished.
6. Wipe the inside and put it in the pouch. Takes ten seconds and keeps the light output honest.

One object, not two. The battery and the controls live in the shell itself.

Why box contents are worth checking on any mask

Two reasons, and they cost real money.

Accessories are sometimes priced separately. The most common example in this category is a stand or dock listed as an optional extra at a meaningful additional cost. A headline price is not the full price if something you assumed was included is a separate line item.

The contents tell you how the device is built. This is the useful trick. If the list includes a controller as its own item, ask how it connects to the mask, because the answer is usually a lead. If you charge the controller rather than the mask, the battery is in the controller. The packing list quietly describes the architecture, and it is often more honest than the marketing copy above it.
